La p\u00e9ninsule de Saman\u00e1 est reli\u00e9e au reste de l&#039;\u00c9tat par l&#039;isthme de Saman\u00e1 ; au sud se trouve la baie de Saman\u00e1. La p\u00e9ninsule contient de nombreuses plages, notamment dans la ville de Santa B\u00e1rbara de Saman\u00e1. Il contient trois rivi\u00e8res. Les routes principales sont la DR-5 et l&#039;autoroute Saman\u00e1, qui m\u00e8ne de la p\u00e9ninsule \u00e0 Saint-Domingue. La p\u00e9ninsule contient \u00e9galement l&#039;a\u00e9roport international de Saman\u00e1 El Catey.
