Die Halbinsel Saman\u00e1 ist durch die Landenge von Saman\u00e1 mit dem Rest des Staates verbunden; im S\u00fcden liegt die Bucht von Saman\u00e1. Die Halbinsel enth\u00e4lt viele Str\u00e4nde, besonders in der Stadt Santa B\u00e1rbara de Saman\u00e1. Es enth\u00e4lt drei Fl\u00fcsse. Die Hauptstra\u00dfen sind die DR-5 und der Saman\u00e1 Highway, der von der Halbinsel nach Santo Domingo f\u00fchrt. Auf der Halbinsel befindet sich auch der internationale Flughafen Saman\u00e1 El Catey.
