Start your adventure on the Samana Peninsula with a scenic 50-minute bus ride to the meeting point, where you’ll embark on an unforgettable journey to El Limon Waterfall. Here, you can choose between a thrilling hike or a leisurely horseback ride. After working up an appetite, savor a delicious local lunch before continuing your adventure.

Next, head to Santa Barbara and set sail for Cayo Levantado. On this picturesque island, you’ll have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the crystalline waters.

As the day winds down, make your way to Montaña Redonda for breathtaking views of the mountains and the ocean. Then, conclude your day at Altos de Cano Hondo.

The following day, prepare for an exciting excursion to Los Haitises and cross the bay to return to Samana, ending your journey with unforgettable memories.

Schedule 

Day One

El limon Waterfall, Cayo Levantado, Montaña Redonda & Altos de Cano Hondo 

Starting: 6:00 am (Depending on where you are located)

Start your day with an early morning trip across Samana Bay to embark on a safari to El Limon Waterfall. You can hike or go horseback riding to reach the waterfall, making it a thrilling 2.5-hour adventure. Afterward, enjoy a satisfying lunch at Parada La Manzana.

The next stop is Cayo Levantado or Bacardi Island, where you can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters at the junction of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean within Samana Bay. After spending a few hours here, board your final boat ride to meet your driver and head to Montaña Redonda.

At Montaña Redonda, hop on a safari truck to reach the hilltop, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Samana Peninsula and Samana Bay from a height of one thousand meters above sea level. The journey from Sabana de la Mar to Montaña Redonda takes about an hour and forty minutes.

Conclude your experience with a bus ride to Altos de Caño Hondo where you will spend your night.

Day Two

Los Haitises National Park Full Day

Starting: 8:00 am 

In the quiet tranquility of the early morning, you will be welcomed by a warm and knowledgeable local guide as the golden sun peeks over the horizon, marking the beginning of your captivating journey to Los Haitises National Park. This exhilarating day begins with a morning devoted to exploring the mesmerizing mangrove forest, which holds the prestigious title of being the second largest on the island. As you meander through this exceptional natural wonderland, you will encounter caves adorned with more than 1000 pictographs, each one a testament to the rich history and culture of the area. It’s important to note that access to these remarkable caves can only be achieved by boat, adding an extra layer of adventure to your experience.

Furthermore, your journey will also lead you to San Lorenzo Bay, where you will spend a significant portion of your time immersed in the breathtaking surroundings of Los Haitises National Park. Following this enriching exploration, a delicious lunch will refuel you for the next phase of your adventure. Subsequently, you will be chauffeured to the embarkation point for a scenic boat ride across the enchanting waters to Samana, culminating a day filled with unforgettable experiences and natural beauty.
